R. Cheatham Is Laid To Rest In Hull Cemetery Funeral services for Jesse R. Cheatham, 68, who died at his residence in Hull Wednesday after an illness of one day, were held Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at Hull Baptist church. The services were conducted by Rev. A. E. Logan, pastor of Hull Baptist church and interment was in Hull cemetery, McDorman-Bridges in charge of arrangements. Pall-bearers were Walter Spratlin, Truett Thompson, Dave Spratlin, Bines Burroughs, Claude Tolbert and Pope Miller. Surviving Mr. Cheatham are his wife, Mrs. Lizzie Cheatham; a daughter, Miss Nellie Cheatham, of Hull; five sons, Johnnie Cheatham, of Clarkston, Ga., and Roger, Billie, Raven and Frank Cheatham, all of Hull; grandchildren, Edna Cheatham and James Cheatham, bot of Clarkston. A native of Madison county, Mr. Cheatham had resided in Hull since boyhood. One of Madison county's best known farmers, Mr. Cheatham had a large number of friends in Athens to whom his death came as quite a shock.
