Thomas “Tom” Childers, 34, of Colbert, died Wednesday, October 27, 2004.

A lifelong resident of Colbert, he was the son of Herman and Peggy Eberhart 
Childers and was employed with Carrier Transicold. 

Survivors in addition to his parents include his grandfather, Thomas Eberhart; 
sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Mark Beach; nieces and nephews, Ashli, 
Matt, and Caroline Beach, all of Colbert.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 30, from the graveside at Colbert 
Cemetery with the Rev. Gerald Brunson officiating.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Hospice, 1500 Oglethorpe Avenue, Suite 200-
C, Athens, Georgia 30606, or to Madison County Sheriff’s Office Bullet Proof 
Vest Fund, P.O. Box 65, Danielsville, Georgia 30683.

Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, was in charge of arrangements.
