Sara Pearl Christian, 67, Highway 72, died Monday, Dec. 25, 1995.
A native and lifelong resident of Madison County, Mrs. Christian was a daughter
of Hollis Waggoner of Colbert and the late Hester Peterman Waggoner and widow of
Willie Ray Christian.  She was retired as a supervisor with Reliance Electric
and was a member of Word of Life Congregational Holiness Church.
Funeral services were at 3 p.m. today at the Word of Life Congregational
Holiness Church, with the Rev. Herman Nation officiating.  Burial was in Colbert
Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bob Waggoner, Ricky Haggard, Ellis Haggard, Ron Spence, Joel
Brooks and Rabun Campbell.
Survivors in addition to her father include four sons, David Christian, Colbert,
Sam Christian, Winterville, Daniel Christian, Danielsville, and Matthew
Christian, Hull; two daughters, Sherry Pugh, Athens, and Belinda Wright,
Jefferson; three sisters, Betty Morris, Colbert, Dot Brooks, Crawford, and Carol
Haggard, Ila; a brother, Ed Waggoner, Colbert; 16 grandchildren; five great
grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, East, is in charge of arrangements.

Additional Comments:
Sara was a Godly woman of faith who led many to a saving knowledge of Jesus
Christ. She lived her Christian beliefs daily, helping others, going where
others needed her, and offering encouragement to many friends and family.
