CLEMENTS, SR. RITES HELD Melvin L. Clements Sr., 74, of Rt. 1, Hull, died Saturday morning at a local hospital following a short illness. Mr. Clements, a native of Clarke Co., Ga., was the son of the late Alfred and Lou Witcher Clements. A veteran of World War 1, Mr. Clements was a contractor until his retirement in 1955, and since his retirement he has made his home in Madison County, Ga., in the Hull community. Survivors include: son, Melvin L. Clements Jr., Hull; two sisters-in-law: Mrs. Julian Clements, Crawfordville, Ga., and Mrs. Guy Wages, Athens, Ga.; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday from the Bridges Funeral Home Chapel at 3 P.M., with Rev. Ed Brown officiating. Burial was in Buena Vista Cemetery (Nowhere Road). Pallbearers were: Leonard Clements, Cecil Davis, Hugh Tims, James Winfrey, Tony Williams, Stanley Williams, Bill Wilkes.
