F. Clodfelter Claimed by Death "Leaves have their time to fall, and flowers to wither at the north winds breath; but thou hat all seasons for thine own, O Death." Our community was overspread with a pail of gloom recenty, March 20th, at the home of the death of Mr. Jake Clodfelter. He had suffered for months with several diseases, his death was quite unexpected. Though rather old in years, he was still young in heart and each boy or girl found a halo of charm and quiert elegance in his presence. He was a faithrul father, a loving husband and grandfather and a loyal friend. He will be badly missed in our midst. He was a member of the Meadow Baptist church for several and was a Faithful member. He leaves a wife, three sons, four daughters, six grandchildren, three brothers, three sisters and a host of friends to mourn his death. The funeral service was held at Meadow church and was conducted by his pastor, Rev. W. M. Saye; the remains were laid to rest at Meadow cemetery.
