In Memory of Mr. J. F. Clodfelter

Whereas God in His all wise wisdom saw fit to call from our midst on March 20, 
1924, Brother Clodfelter;

He was born in Idle county, North Carolina, jan. 14, 1860.  Moved to Georgia 
when quite young where he has lived ever since.

He became a member of the Baptist church at Martin, August, 1897, and later 
united with Meadow Batist church, where he was a consecrated and faithful 
member, attending his church regularly.  Uncle Jake proved himself a true, 
faithful Christian.  By his gentle and pleasant disposition he won many 
friends.  Brother Clodfelter's kindness in his home and faithfulness to his 
church was an inspiration.

In the death of Brother Clodfelter the church loses a loving Christian brother 
and the family a loving devoted and forgiving husband and father.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, four daughters and six grandchildren, 
three brothers, three sisters and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his 
death.  We commend them to our God, the God of love and comfort.

Therefore be it Resolved:

1.  That knowing he is too wise to err, and top good to be unkind, we bow in 
humble submission to God's will;

2.  That we extend to the bereaved family our heartfelt sympathy, and pray 
that god will comfort them;

3.  That these solutions be entered upon our minutes, a copy be given to the 
family and be published in The Comer News.
