Danielsville Monitor, 26 Dec 1980
    Harvey Spurgen Collins, 66, of Route 1, Danielsville, died Saturday, 
December 20.

   Mr. Collins was the husband of Mrs. Mary Winfrey Collins.  He was 
born and lived his entire life in Madison County.

   Funeral services were held Monday at 3 p.m. at Cedar Grove Baptist 
Church with the Revs. James Tolbert and Ray Jenkins officiating.  Burial
was in Danielsville Memorial Gardens.

   Survivors in addition to his wife include on son, Allen O. Collins, 
Danielsville; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Jimmie Lou Gorodn, Hull; one 
step-son, Jackie Gordon, Athens; two sisters, Mrs. Zeffrey Duckworth, 
Carlton, Mrs. Edwin Evans, Kannapolis, N. C.; one brother, Loyd Collins, 
Carlton; one foster brother, Onard Collins, Comer; three grandchildren.

   Pallbearers were nephews.
