Pauline Benton Collins, 82, of Commerce, died Tuesday, October 3, 2006, at BJC 
Medical Center, Commerce.

She was born on February 7, 1924, in Madison County, and was the daughter of 
the late Edgar Elijah and Sara Wood Benton. She was retired from Harmony Grove 
Mill as a spooler and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Collins was 
preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Collins; and a daughter, Allie 
Collins.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Wallace Stowe, 
Commerce; brother, Claude Benton, Easley, S.C.; sisters, Sara Brister, 
Commerce, and Betty Minish, Canton; three grandchildren; and five great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, October 6, in the chapel of Little-Ward 
Funeral Home with the Revs. Donald Wilson and Curtis Greene officiating. 
Burial was in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
