Funeral of Mrs. A. L. Comer Held Thursday

   Funeral services for Mrs. Lizzie Comer, prominent and beloved citizen of 
Comer, who passed away on Wednesday morning following a long illness, were 
held Thursday afternoon at the Methodist Church, of which she was a member.  
The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Frank Quillian, former pastor and 
life-long friend, who began his ministry in Comer and boarded in the home of 
Mrs. Comer during his two years stay.  Truly he paid a wonderful tribute to 
the deceased whose life reflected those beautiful traits of gentleness, 
charity and Christian living.
   A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Comer will be greatly missed by all who 
knew and loved her.
   Surviving Mrs. Comer are: the husband, Mr. A. L. Comer; one daughter, Mrs. 
Alice Lenoir; two grandchildren, Billy and Betty Lenoir; two sisters, Mrs. 
Janie Gholston and Mrs. Nell Stovall.
    Interment was in Comer cemetery and the following served as pallbearers: 
Messers Hope Power, Ed Latimre, Jago Deadwyler, Dan Porterfield, Gerald 
Birchmore and Willis Birchmore.
