MRS. AMANDA COMPTON DIES

   Mrs. Amanda Compton died yesterday afternoon after being severly burned 
that morning when her clothing caught from an open fire.  She was one of the 
County's oldest and best known citizens having recently celebrated her 90th 
birthday.
