Mr. Cook was a well-known resident of Danielsville and had been ill for two weeks. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Friendship Baptist Church with the pastor, Rev. Dayton Logan, officiating. Interment followed in Colbert Cemetery, Bridges Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pall-bearers were Robert Lord, John Hattaway, Joe dalton, Melvin Patten, Alfred Phillips, Thurman Hailey, Jimmy Mitchell and Red Crump. Mr. Cook is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mayo L. Cook, Danielsville; mother, Mrs. B. B. Cook, Ila; three brothers, W. J. Cook, Hapeville; Garland Cook Brookhaven; and H. E. Cook, Columbus; sister, Mrs. Evans Long, Prosperity, S. C. A native of South Carolina, Mr. Cook had been a resident of Madison County for many years. He was a member of Comer Baptist Church. He was connected with Madison County Highway Dept.
