B. Cook, widow of the late Ben Cook, died Thursday, December 11. Mrs. Cook, a native of Hartwell, Ga., was the daughter of the late Rev. W. G. and Martha Moore Dudley. She was a member of the Comer Baptist Church and a former Mayor of Ila, Georgia. She was a former house mother for the United Methodist Children's Home in Decatur, Ga. She wa a four star mother during World War II having all her sons in the Armed Services during World War II. Funeral was held at the Meadow Baptist Church on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2 p.m. with Rev. Gene Todd officiating, assisted by Rev. Dayton Logan. Interment was in Meadow Baptist Church cemetery with Bridges Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pall-bearers were Tommy Bradley, Mack Hanley, Elmer J. McCannon, Seward Adams, Lord Fitzpatrick, Darrell Coile. Surviving: 3 sons, Garland Cook, Dunwoody, Hugh Cook, Sr., Columbus, and Walter Cook, Rex, Ga.; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
