Benjamin D. Cowart
   Colbert – Benjamin D. Cowart, 76, of Route 1 Box 146, died Tuesday, Dec. 29,
1992.
   A native of Hall County, Mr. Cowart was a son of the late Naldo and Callie
Meeks Cowart.  He was a member of Edwards Baptist Church.
   Funeral services were at 4 p.m. today at Edwards Baptist Church.  The Rev.
Jamie Doster officiated.  Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park.
   Survivors include his wife, Francine S. Cowart; a daughter, Linda Cowart,
Crawford; two sons, Kenneth Crumley, Gainesville, and Douglas Crumley, Hartwell;
a brother, Leroy Cowart, Danielsville; six grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
   Pallbearers were Dennis Cowart, Sam Huff, Ronnie Smith, Neil Doster, Asa
Huff, Bennie Cowart and Lewis Cowart.
   The family will receive friends at the residence this evening.
   Lord Y Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
