U. Daniel died at the home of her son, W. R. Daniel, near here, Tuesday, and her remains were laid to rest at Lystra burying ground Wednesday to await the resurrection morning. She had been sick for some time with something like paralysis, and while her death was not wholly unexpected, still it was a shock to her family . She leaves three children---Mrs. Josephine Smith of Athens, Mrs. Ann McElhannon, of Winder, and W. R. Daniel of this county--besides a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn her death. To the bereaved we extend our sympathy. Additional Comments: First name from Madison Co. marriage records. There is no tombstone for Mrs. Daniel in Lystra as of 2005. It was probably destroyed by vandals in the 1970s and 1980s as were many others and the church building.
