She was up town Saturday, talked with many of her friends and seemed much better, even though she had not been real well for some time. Sunday morning a friend went by to go to Sunday School, but having no response to here call, thought perhaps she was out of town. A devoted and loyal member of the Baptist Church, Miss David did not come to church or Sunday School, so knowing she was either sick, or not able to get to church a group of friends went to her home; she had passed away in the morning hours. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at three o'clock from Comer Baptist Church by her pastor, Rev. C. A. Bates. Miss David is survived by three sisters: Mrs. E. H. Adams, Mrs. Mazelle Thompson and Mrs. E. H. Hopkins, all of Atlanta; two brothers, R. T. David, Atlanta and A. B. David, Calhoun, Ga. and several nieces and nephew. She was a native of Madison County and a lifelong resident of comer. A loyal, devoted and faithful member of the Baptist Church, Maude gave of her very best to the cause of Christ, she loved her church her pastor, and all her church activities. She was always happiest when taking some part in the church program and all who knew her feel she was truly a great Christian. She was looking forward to the Evangelistic Crusade, but her Heavenly Father called her to a greater service and a mansion not made by hands. Truly a consecrated Christian has received her rich reward.
