Born on April 11, 1917, he was the son of the late Thomas and Vashti Cox David. He was Methodist and a member of the Danielsville United Methodist Church. Mr. David was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was retired from the Army. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Hawks David; son Byron Wade David, Colbert; daughters, Anna Martin and Eloise Manders, both of Danielsville; sisters, Myra Rodgers, Ellijay, and Mary Kompanek, Santa Barber, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 11, at the Danielsville United Methodist Church with the Revs. Mike McLemore and Dayton Logan officiating. Burial was in the Friendship Baptist Church. Pallbearers were grandsons. Memorial contributions may be made to the Danielsville Methodist Church. Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, was in charge of arrangements.
