M. David Dead On last Thursday morning at one o'clock occurred the death of Mr. Geo. M. David at his home here. He was taken rather suddenly on Wednesday and never rallied from the attact, however he had been in declining health for several years, thouogh owing to his indomitable will power and wonderful constitution he had managed to survive and carry on his affairs. There was no better citizen in Madison County than Geo. M. David. He was a man who was fair in thought and dealings, never wavering from that which was honest and truthful. It was always a pleasure to talk with him and hear his philosophies of life. He was a close observer and full of energy and always fond of his Friends and a good booster for his county, devoting himself to his family. He belonged to the Methodist church and always attended upon its ordinances and gave it his best support. Truly Geo. David will be missed where he was known for he always had convictions and spoke them fearlessly after consideration and thought. He was a large number of friends who deeply sympathize with his family in their great loss. He is survived by his widow, six sons and three daughters. His sons are: Mr. T. Cleveland David, of Danielsville; Prof. Roy C. David, of Calhoun; Mr. Walter David, of Griffin; Mr. Homer David, of Hollywood, Fla., and Kern David, of Danielsville. Three daughters are: Mrs. Lena Jamison, of Griffin; Mesdames Geo. Hix and Holland Stribbling, of Danielsville. The body was interred in the cemetery her Friday morning, his pastor, Rev. H. O. Greene conducting the funeral services.
