We regret to chronicle the death of Dr. R. A. Davidson, of Comer, which 
occurred Thursday of last week in Augusta, where he had been caried to have an 
operation performed for appendicitis.  He was taken sick Tuesday night and 
died Thursday.  The operation was not performed, as the disease had too far 
advanced when he reached Augusta.  He came among us about one year ago, and by 
his courteous manner and genial disposition had drawn around him all the 
people as his friends.  He was a bright future, and it seems so and for a 
young life, full of promise of usefulness, to be cut down so suddenly.  His 
death verifies the scripture that "in the midst of life we are in death," for 
he was in young manhood and a day or two before his death seemed a perfect 
picture of death.  His remains were laid to rest at Sharon, Ga., which is the 
home of his father, last Friday.  He was a prominent Knight of Pythias and 
Mason, and these orders lose a useful and valuable member.
