Maj. Lawrence Joseph Des Jardines, Sr., USMC retired, died Sunday, July 2, 
2006, in Albany.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Greaves Des Jardines; daughter, Ellen Marion 
Des Jardines, Athens; two sons and daughter-in-law, Lawrence Joseph Des 
Jardines, Jr., Indianapolis, Ind., David Edward and Shelly Des Jardines, 
Danielsville; eight grandchildren, Erin, Meagan, Jessie, Peggy, Maria, 
Samantha, Mary and Ruth; and his special dog and cat friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dougherty-Lee Chapter of the American 
Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1210, Albany, Ga. 31702.  Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Home, 
Albany, was in charge of arrangements.
