Mary Frances Davis, 80, of Colbert, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006.

Born in Detroit, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Georgia 
McGinnis Smallwood. She was a retired seamstress and a member of the Colbert 
United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Vestal Davis, Colbert; sons and 
daughter-in-law, Donald Wayne and Lydia Davis, Raleigh, N.C., and Ronald Layne 
Davis, Monroe; brother, Jack Smallwood, Boynton Beach, Fla.; six 
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 24, at the Colbert United Methodist 
Church with the Rev. Jim Harrelson officiating. Burial was in Colbert City 
Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Colbert United Methodist Church 
Building Fund, North 2nd Ave., Colbert, Ga. 30628.

Bernstein Funeral Home, Athens, was in charge of arrangements.
