DANIELSVILLE - Melvin Thomas Dowell, 34, Route 1 Died Monday July 6.
Mr Dowell, a native of Franklin County, was a son of Ernest Dowell Of Royston 
and the late Addlee Patrick Dowell. He was employed by the Madison County 
Department of Roads. He was of Holiness faith. 

Funeral Services will be Wednesday  at 2pm at the chapel of Hall Funeral Home 
in Royston. The Revs. William Anglin and Ray Jenkins will officiate and burial 
will be in the Danielsville Memorial Gardens. 

Survivors in addition to his father, include his wife, Peggy Gaddis Dowell; 
one son, Michael Thomas Dowell; seven sisters, Mrs. Dennis Phillips, 
Graniteville S.C., Mrs Keith Bailey Hartwell, Mrs. Frank Finley, Royston, Mrs 
Tony Stowe, Mrs Jerry Hill, Mrs. Virgil Bennett and Mrs. Wayne Wilson, Canon; 
six brothers, Roy Lee Dowell, Canon, Clyde Dowell, Anderson, S.C; Edward 
Dowell, John Junior Dowell, Herman Dowell and Charles Dowell, Royston.

   The family will receive friends from 7 until 9pm today at the funeral home 
and is at the residence of Mr & Mrs. Howard Gaddis, Route 1.
