Prominent Madison County Citizen Is Claimed by Death
   Funeral services for Earl B. Davis, 49, who died suddenly at his home
in Danielsville this morning, will be held Thursday afternoon at 4
o’clock at the Davis residence in Danielsville.
   Rev F.J. Hendrix, of the Arnoldsville Baptist church, will be the
officiating minister.  Interment will follow in the Davis cemetery with
McDorman-Bridges in charge.
   The deceased was a member of the Baptist church, and had been active in
religious, civic, and social life at Danielsville. He had resided in
Madison county all his life.  Survivors are: his widow, Mrs. Bell
Berryman Davis; one daughter, Miss Allie Mae Davis, of Danielsville;
three sons, James S. Davis, Hugh Dorsey Davis and Earl B. Davis, jr.
(sic), all of Danielsville; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Hall, of Athens,
and Mrs. Telie Hall of Bowman; and three brothers, Marshall Davis,
Hester Davis, both of Danielsville and Hiram Davis, of Ila.
