A. H. Eberhardt Rites

   Alexander H. Eberhardt of 494 Clover Street, Athens, Ga., formerly of 
Carlton, died last week in a local hospital following an extended illness.  
Born in Madison coutny, he had lived in Athens for 35 years and was equipment 
manager for the Athletic Department of the University of Georgia for several 
years.
    The funeral was held on Wednesday of last week at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of 
Bernstein Funeral home with the Revs. Julian Cave and Mark Fite officiating.  
Burial was in the Carlton Cemetery.
   Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Clifford Wright of Sandy Cross 
(Oglethorpe County), Mrs. H. G. Fussell of Augusta, Mrs. Forest Towns of Athens 
Miss Virginia Eberhardt of Athens, and Mrs. B. H. Mitchum of Hanahan, S.C.; a 
son, Luther Eberhardt of Crawford; eight grandchildren and six great 
grandchildren.
   Pallbearers were his grandsons and J. E. Carter.
