MRS. J. R. ECHOLS CALLED BY DEATH


   Funeral services were held on last Sunday afternoon at three 
o'clock for Mrs. J. R. Echols, of Ila, Ga.

   Rev. Boswell of Ila conducted the funeral service in a very 
sweet and impressive manner.  the interment took place in the 
family cemetery at the Echols home place.

   Mrs. Echols was held in high esteem, bu all who knew her.  Her 
life having been an exemplary one.  Her death is a source of 
deep regret to her many friends who sympathize with the family.

   Surviving her are her husband, J. R. Echols, one daughter, 
Miss Roxie, of Ila, four sons, Dr. George Echols, of Milledgeville, 
Mr. Arthur Echols, of Commerce, Mr. Henry Echols, of Danielsville, 
and Mr. Tom Echols of Washington, D. C.
