J. Edens Held at Colbert Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Lee Herring Elders were held at the Colbert Baptist Church Tuesday, conducted by Rev. J. B. Brown, Pastor. Annie Lee was born in Colbert November 16, 1909. She was the daughter of L. A. and Luticia Herring, her mother having preceded her in death January 14, 1926. Annie Lee was the third of seven children. At the age of about 12 years whe became a member of Five Forks Baptist Church. She left Colbert in September 1929. On June 17, 1932 she was married to William Julian Evans. Annie Lee died May 17, 1936 in Manilla, Phillippine Islands. She is survived by her husband, W. J. Edens, of Washington, D. C.; her father, T. A. Herring and stepmother, Leonia Herring, and the following brothers and sisters: M. B. Herring, of St Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Monty McCaby, Alfon, Carl, M.M. and Leartin Herring, all of Colbert. Note: Inconsistencies in name are as typed in the newspaper article.
