GEORGE B. FREEMAN DIES FUNERAL THURSDAY Mr. George B. Freeman died at an Athens Hospital Tuesday morning. Funeral services will be held at the Ila Presbyterian church, Rev. T. L. Christian officiating, assisted by Rev. J. C. Parker. Mr. Freeman, a native of Madison County, was well known citizen of Danielsville and had many friends in this section. He had been ill for two weeks. Pallbearers will be P. D. Temple, E. D. Compton, Reese Bird, Hoke Smith, Alvin Baker, Garrett Rice. Honorary pallbearers are Cleo Griffeth, Claude Montgomery, Judge Murray, L. L. Davis, Howard Gordon and B. T. Moseley. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Annie Ginn Freeman, five daughters; Mrs. W. C. Hitchcock, ; Mrs. Robert L. Escoe ; Mrs. Chester Gordon, Danielsville; Mrs. L. R. Roland, Anderson, S. C.; Miss Callie Belle Freeman, Danielsville; four sons Lee Freeman, Clinton Freeman, Samuel B. Freeman, George B. Freeman, Jr., all of Danielsville. Four sisters: Mrs. W. M. Black, High Point, N. C.; Mrs. R. R. Brown, Danielsville; Mrs. L. L. Chandler, Danielsville and Mrs. Belle Owens, Kannapolis, N. C. Two brothers: G. D. Freeman, Danielsville, and Charlie Freeman, Kannapolis, N. C. and seven grand-children also survive. Mr. Freeman had spent his life in the Danielville Community and was one of its most respected citizens. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and was active in the affairs of the church.
