Lease C. Gantt 

COMER – Lease Chappell Gantt of Route 2, died Wednesday, July 8, 1992. 

A native of Madison County, Mrs. Gantt was a daughter of William and Sara 
Chappell.  She was a member of Waggoner Grove Baptist Church. 

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today at Waggoner Grove Baptist Church, 
Colbert.  The Rev. Ronnie Gantt, officiated and burial was in Hitchcock 
Cemetery, Colbert. 

Survigors include her husband, Alvergis Gantt Sr.; four sons, Alvergis Gantt 
Jr., Atlanta, O’Dennis Gantt, Eric Gantt and Lean Gantt, all of Comer; four 
daughters, Sara Jefferson, Augusta, Heristin Conway, New Britain, Conn., Annis 
Mayweather, Winder, and Genell Powers, Colbert; and two sisters, Lillie Mae 
Johnson, Colbert, and Essie Ward, Virginia Beach, Va. 

Mack & Payne Funeral Home, Athens, is in charge of arrangements.
