William Odell Garrett, 81, of Hull, died Thursday, July 13, 2006.

Born in Madison County, he was the son of the late Stancil and Gracie Evans 
Garrett. He was a United States Coast Guard veteran of World War II, and was a 
retired machinist at Anaconda Wire and Cable.

Survivors include his wife, Frances V. Garrett; two sisters, Mozelle Stewart, 
Marion, N.C., and Fair Belle Cisson, Greenville, S.C.; a special cousin, John 
Waggoner; special friends and neighbors, Morgan and Yvonne Edwards and family; 
and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 15, at Evergreen Memorial Park with 
the Rev. Raymond Duncan officiating.

Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, Athens, was in charge of arrangements.
