F. Gaulding, Sr. Rites Mr. Harold F. Gaulding, Sr., 67, of Colbert, Ga., died Sunday in an Athens hospital following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Colbert Methodist Church with the Rev. Harold E. Braswell and the Rev. Ralph B. Hawkins officiating. Burial was in Colbert Cemetery. Mr. Gaulding was the son of the late Julia Hardman and Richard M. Gaulding. He was a native of Madison County and had lived here all his life. He was a member of the Colbert Methodist Church and served for a number of years on the Board of Stewards. He had served as mayor of Colbert and served on the Colbert City Council. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Lola Mae Payne Gaulding; a daughter, Mrs. John A. Roush, Colbert; a son, Harold F. Gaulding, Jr., Colbert; two grandchildren, Juila Amanda Roush and Debra Lynn Gaulding, both of Colbert; a nephew, John M. Gaulding, Jr. of Athens and a great-nephew, Richard M. Gaulding of Lawrenceville. Pallbearers were Howard Woods, Walter Benton, John H. Waggoner, James K. Brookshire, E. R. Hart, L. C. Hickman, Ralph C. Collier and Harold Meadow. Honorary pallbearers were H. B. Chandler, Charles Meadow, Carl Herring, Jackie Parham, J. C. Hardman, T. M. Philpot and Leroy Moorehead.
