Larry D. Grice, 61, of Hoschton, died Tuesday, October 26, 2004, at his 
residence.  Born in Fulton County, he was the son of the late O.T. and Annie 
Ruth Mahaffey Grice. He was a former Lawrenceville resident and had resided in 
this area for the past 32 years. Mr. Grice attended the Winder First Baptist 
Church and was retired from General Motors, where he served as the chief clerk 
of the parts department. He was most recently employed with The Home Depot of 
Hamilton Mill.  

Survivors include his wife, Elaine Reynolds Grice, Hoschton; three daughters 
and son-in-law, Casey Simmons, Jefferson, Lisa Grice, Hoschton, and Danielle 
and Jason Austin, Winder; three grandchildren, Justin Simmons, Dylan Simmons 
and Jackson Austin; three sisters, Barbara Sudderth, Sugar Hill, Rena Clark, 
Auburn, and Ann Smith, Dacula; brother, Jack Grice, Auburn.  

Funeral services were held Friday, October 29, in the chapel of Carter Funeral 
Home, Winder, with Dr. John E. Talley officiating. Burial was in Barrow 
Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Larry Parker, Billy Greer, Danny Barnes, 
Bobby Mayfield, Jimmy Cook and Patrick Gault.  Memorials may be made to The 
American Cancer Society, 1684 Barnett Shoals Road, Athens, Georgia 30605, or 
The Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Suite 
222, Gainesville, Georgia 30501.  Carter Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge 
of arrangements.
