W. R Haggard

    William R. (Ras) Haggard, 75, retired farmer, of Rt. 2, Danielsville, died 
Saturday at Talmadge Memorial Hospital follwoing an extended illness.
   Born in Jackson County, he was s son of the late Sam and Mattie Ward 
Haggard.  He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
   Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Bertice Hicks Haggard; a daughter, Mrs. Sam 
Sartain of Danielsville; fourt brothers, Tom Haggard, Alvin Haggard, Mel 
Haggard, all of Danielsville; Guy Haggard of Nicholson; a sister, Mrs. Lorane 
Martin of Easley, S.C.; four grandchildren.
   Funeral services were conducted Monday at 3 p.m. at the Little-Ward Funeral 
Home by the Revs. W. R. Cameraon and Martin T. Coile.  Burial was in the Ila 
Cemetery
