FUNERAL NOTICE


HAMPTON--Dr. H. H. Hampton died at his residence in Colbert, Ga., Wednesday 
afternoon, March 20, 1940, at three-thirty (3:30) o'clock, following an 
illness of one year.  He was 76 years of age.  He is survived by his wife, 
Mrs.Annie Laurie Bray Hampton; three daughters, Miss Annie May Hampton of 
Loganville, Ga.; Miss Neva Dee Hampton of Gainesville, Ga., and Miss Mary Bray 
Hampton of Colbert, Ga.; four sons, Dr. V. G. Hampton of Barnesville, Ga.; Dr. 
J. H Hampton of Gainesville, Ga.; Mr. How Hampton of Hollywood, Fla., and Mr. 
Herbert Hampton of colbert, Ga.  Funeral services were this Thursday 
afternoon, March 21st, 1940, at three-thirty (3:30) o'clock, from the Colbert 
Methodist church.  Rev. L. G. Hendricks, pastor of the Colbert Methodist 
church, officiated and was assisted by Rev. F. J. Hendrix, pastor of the 
Colbert Baptist church.  Trustees and the superintnedent of the Colbert High 
school served as pallbearers.  Member of the Clarke County and Madison County 
Medical Society served as honorary escorts.  Interment was in the Colbert 
Cemetery.  McDorman-Bridges.
