Born in Jackson County March 8, 1909, she was the daughter of the late O.A. and Rilla Curthers Phillips. She was a retired seamstress and attended the New Haven Holiness Church. Mrs. Hardman was preceded in death by her husband, William Bethel Hardman, a son, Odean Hardman, brothers, Alfred, Albert, Linnie and Lonney Phillips, and sisters, Margie Brown and Orlee Baldwin. Survivors include sons, Thomas Hardman and Elmer Hardman, both of Carlton; daughters, Thelma Drake, Danielsville, and Elizabeth Beck, Winder; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. The body is at the home, 259 Bellew-Drake Road, Carlton, where the family will receive friends after lunch on Thursday, November 16. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon, prior to the funeral services which will be held Friday, December 17, at 2 p.m. at the New Haven Holiness Church.
