A. F. Hart Rites Held Monday In Old Home Place

  Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock for A. F. Hart, 
84, one of Madison county's most prominent farmers.  Mr. Hart died Sunday 
afternoon at 1:15 o'clock at his residence near Hull after an illness of nine 
weeks.
  The servies were conducted by Rev. A. E. Logan, pastor of Hull Baptist 
church, assisted by W. M. Coile, pastor of Winterville Baptist church.
  Interment was in Hart family cemetery, McDorman-Bridges in charge of 
arrangements.  Pallbearers were W. H. Kellar, D. T. Lane, T. A. Burroughs, D. 
P. Spratling, Glenn Brown and C. D. Tolbert.
  An honorary escort was comprised of B. B. Spratlin, C. J. Martin, J. W. 
Holcomb, B. D. Dotson, W. J. Spratlin, W. W. Barnett, Sr., A. R. Hardman and 
J. T. Williams.
  Surviving Mr. Hart are a daughter, Mrs. J. C. Barnett, Colbert; five sons, 
H. H. Hart, Colbert, C. F. Hart, LaGrange, and T. A., F. W., ad H. C. Hart, 
all of Hull, and fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
  A native of Madison county, Mr. Hart had lived there all his life with the 
exception of ten years residence in Hull, Mr. Hart had spent his life in the 
old home place, where he died Sunday.
  He was one of Madison county' most respected citizens and even though of 
advanced age was most active until he became ill some weeks before his death.  
He was a member of the Baptist church and was considered one of Madison 
county's most sucessful farmers.
