Martha Porterfield Hart, 71, of Iva, S.C., died Sunday, November 14, 2004.

A native of Elbert County, she was the daughter of the late Onnie and Frances 
Tiller Porterfield. Mrs. Hart was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her 
husband, Hoyt Hart.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Hart, Iva, S.C.; brother, Kenneth Porterfield, 
Conway, Ark.; sisters, Virginia Graham, Carlton, Hazel Bishop, Winterville, and 
Onzetta McCannon, Comer; granddaughter, Amy Caldwell; and several nieces and 
nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 16, in the chapel of Brown Funeral 
Home with the Revs. Ken Whitt and Martha Guest officiating. Burial was in the 
Carlton Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lane McCannon, Dock Hart, Aaron Hart, James 
Hart, Billy Meeks and David McCannon. Honorary pallbearer was Jerry Hart.

Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, was in charge of arrangements.
