Ila Mae Harwell, 86, of Comer, died Monday, July 24, 2006, at Athens Regional 
Medical Center. 

Born in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late William Jordan and 
Laura Inez King Stewart. She was a homemaker and had been a member of the 
Comer United Methodist Church for more than 40 years. Mrs. Harwell was 
preceded in death by her husband, James Gordon Harwell; brothers, Howard 
Stewart and Carl Stewart. 

Survivors include a son, Evin Harwell, Virginia Beach, Va.; sister, Florette 
Smith, Comer,; and a grandson, John Harwell, Wixom, Mich. 

Funeral services were held Friday, July 28, at the Comer United Methodist 
Church with the Rev. Mike McLemore and Mr. Dennis Wester officiating. Burial 
was in the Colbert Cemetery.

Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, was in charge of arrangements.
