Harold E. Hawks 
Dies Monday in Local Hospital 

Harold E. Hawks, infant son of Private and Mrs. Harold E. Hawks, of Nicholson, 
died in a local hospital Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock. 

Services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock from Gordon’s Chapel, in the 
Sanford community.  The Rev. Mr. Coward, pastor of the church, officiating. 
McDorman-Bridges was in charge of arrangements. 

In addition to his parents, the little boy is survived by his grandparents, 
Mr. And Mrs. W. C. Hawks and Mr. And Mrs. J. C. Barnett, all of Nicholson, and 
several aunts and uncles. 

Private Hawks was stationed with the University military unit before being 
transferred to the west coast, where he is now stationed.  Private and Mrs. 
Hawks made their home in Athens while he was stationed here and since his 
transfer Mrs. Hawks, who was the former Miss Bonnie Barnett, has resided with 
her parents in their home in the Sanford community. 

Deepest sympathy is extended the bereaved ones in the loss their deal little 
boy.
