FUNERAL FOR MR. JONAH S. HILL HELD LAST SATURDAY

   Mr. Jonah S. Hill, age, 75, of Shiloah community died Wednesday, April 2, 
1947, of pneumonia at his home after an illness of 4 days.  He was a native of 
Madison County.  Funeral services were held Saturday, April 5, at 11:00 A. M., 
at the Shiloah Baptist church of which he was a member, with burial in the 
Church cemetery. Rev. Jim Waters and Rev. Sampson Hart conducted the funeral.
   Survivors include:  His wife, Mrs. Nellie Fowler Hill; children, Mrs. Laura 
Ervin, Greenville, S. C.; Mr. Dupree Hill, Guam, South Pacific; Mrs. Lovie 
Burger, Miami, Florida; Mrs. Ethel Thornton, Athens, Ga.  Brothers, Mr. 
Ezra Hill, and Mr. Bunyan Hill, Danielsville, Ga., and 29 Grandchildren.
