A TRIBUTE TO LITTLE WOODIE SUE HOLCOMB

After an illness of only four days the death angel visited the home of Mr. and 
Mrs. J.W. Holcomb on June 27th, and carried away unto himself the precious 
little daughter, Woodie Sue.  To know Woodie Sue was to lve and cherish her.  
She wasa bright and beautiful, and always an obedient and was given such a 
sweet musical talent.  She was ever ready to sing the little songs she had 
learned to sing so sweetly for every visitor in the home, and to the parents 
as well.

She was the joy and light of the home in which she was permitted to stay only 
a short period of five years and six months.  Oh! she is greatly missed in the 
home, and by those who knew her.

The bereaved now struggling under their load of grief, as the home is so sad.  
Oh! so sad since the departure of this little one, and as her little voice is 
heard no more our hearts are cruchsed with frief, and our arms are aching for 
the little form to hold.  Yet we must be submissive to the one who doeth all 
things well, for we know Woodie Sue is sweetly resting in the arms of our 
Saviour, and we too should strive to live so that we may again clasp the 
little hands that are so beconing us from the beautiful home above. 
She leaves to mourn her loss, her parents, four sisters, two brothers, her 
grand parents and a host of relatives and friends.  The heart broken parents 
have our deepest heartfelt sympathy.

The funeral was held at Hull Baptist church Thursday afternoon, Rev. Frank 
Chandler officiating.  Bersteins Brothers of Athens in charge.
