Born in Jackson County November 7, 1935, he was a son of the late James Henry Dewey and Ida Elvie Jane Young Hunsinger. He was a logger and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Alice Faye Hunsinger and Sisie Bell Hunsinger, and three brothers. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Jean Looney Hunsinger, Comer; a son, David Hunsinger, Colbert; three daughters, Shirley Robinson and Emma Patterson, Comer, and Bobbie Haley, Hull; three brothers, Charles Fred Hunsinger, Hookstown, Pa., Henry David Hunsinger, Savannah, Tn., and Homer Hunsinger, Monroe; three sisters, Willie Mae Martin, Anderson, S. C., Shirley Scott, Comer, and Lois Willliams, Estacada, Oregon; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, January 7, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Peterson officiating. Burial was in the Vineyards Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, was in charge of arrangements.
