All of his numberous friends and loved ones were made sad with the news of his death. Marvin had been sick with Typhoid fever about a month and his friends and loved ones sincerely hoped and trusted that his life might be spared but the dear God who mde and loveth us all saw best to carry him to his heavenly home. Marvin was an ideal young man. He was always a true son, brother and friend. "To know him was to love him." Marvin was a Christian youn man and always attended the services of his church regularly. He will be greatly missed by his church, community, loved ones and his numberous friends, and though he has taken his flight to his heavenly home where there will be no more sorrow and suffering for him, but eternal joy and life everlasting, yet his influence will continue to live through the ages. He was always a kind noble, sympathetic, loving young man. There was no better young man that Marvin to be found anywhere. He was as a bright shining light in his home church and elsewhere and so the works of his life will continue to shine here on earth and his spirit will be a bright shining light in the glory land. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. M. C. Allen, his pastor, assisted by Rev. Turner of Commerce, where he worked, and he was always been there at church when not at his church. His body was laid to rest in the Liberty cemetery on Wednesday morning. He leaves a father, mother, three borthers and three sisters and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his death. Let us live that when our lives shall come to a close we may join him in Heaven. His toll is o'er, his work is done, He fought the fight, the victory won.
