Dorothy Lee Kent, 74, of Hull, died Sunday, July 9, 2006.

A native of Palatka, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Charlie and 
Estelle Carpine Crosby. She was retired from Belks Department Store, and was a 
former member and pianist at Whitehall Baptist Church, and a member of Victory 
Baptist Church. Mrs. Kent was preceded in death by her husband, Olan Kent.

Survivors include children and spouse, Mitzi and Chris Smith, Winterville, 
Steve Kent, Tampa, Fla., and Richard Kent, Jacksonville, Fla.; four 
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 13, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens 
Funeral Home East, with the Revs. Buford Lockman and Elmer Butler officiating. 
Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, the 
American Heart Association, or the Center for Diabetes.

Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, Athens, was in charge of arrangements.
