She was born August 25, 1908. She leaves a host of relatives and friends, besides her father, mother, three brothers and four sisters to mourn her departure. Death has laid our dear one low; feel gho' as we may and yearn how much, we miss the tender voice and touch; our hearts sink down with dismal fear, what would we give for her to be near. There is a vacant place around the happy altar that can never be filled with the sister who has gone home and can never seem as sweet and charming as it did during her stay while here on earth with us. The deceased has a arge circle of friends who deeply sympathize with the bereaved family. she was true to all her friends and was loved by all who knew her. She was a member of Meadow Church and lived a quiet but Christian life until God took her home. She bore many pains and afflictions here on earth but she endured them all with the blessed consolation of knowing that it would not be long until she could rest on the other shore where pains, sorrows and death would come no more. We as her friends and loved ones are happy to feel and to sy: "She is not dead, but just away: with a cheerful smile and a wave of the hand, she has wandered into an unknon land." Think of her faring on as dear, in the love of there as the love of here; think of her still as the same, I say: She is not dead, but just away. Miss Alma died Nov. 11, 1928, and was laid to rest in the Meadow Cemetery, funeral service conducted by Rev. J. C. West. Mrs. Lizzie Carithers Miss Lucile Turner J. C.
