C. September 8, 1955 Hubert Alson Kidd of Concord Route 3 died in Cabarrus Memorial Hospital early this morning after two years of declining health. He had been hospitalized for four weeks. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o’clock Friday afternoon from White Park Baptist church in Concord. The Rev. J. C. Furr, pastor, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Robert Lee Turner, pastor of the Second Presbyterian church in Kannapolis. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Cemetery. The body will be taken from Whitley’s to the home at 4 o’clock this afternoon. Born in Comer, Ga., Mr. Kidd came to Cabarrus county fifteen years ago and was an employee at Cannon Mills Plant 1. He lived in Kannapolis for ten years before moving to Concord where he had resided for the past five years. He was a member of White Park Baptist Church. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Cora King Kidd of Comer, Ga.; his wife, Mrs. Nettie Agner Kidd; three stepsons, Ernest, and M. E. Agner of Kannapolis, Henry Agner of Hudson, N. C.; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Vernon Crisco and Mrs. Worth Johnson of Kannapolis, Mrs. Neal F. Menius of the home, Mrs. Charles W. Barnhardt of Concord; two brothers, William Kidd of Kannapolis and Roy Kidd of Comer, Ga.; three sisters, Mrs. Lovenia King and Mrs. Ruby King of Kannapolis, Mrs. Etta Warnsley of Comer, Ga.; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
