KIDD FUNERAL HELD FRIDAY Private James W. Kidd, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. T. Kidd of Meadow community who died at Jefferson Barracks, Mo. after a short illness. He was 21 years old and had been in military service about two months. Services were conducted by Rev. F. J. Hendrix Friday afternoon at three o'clock from Meadow Baptist Church. Surviving Mr. Kidd are his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. O. T. Kidd; three sisters, Miss Pauline Kidd, Mrs. Grady Smith and Mrs. L. C. Poss of Greenwood, S. C.; ten brothers Garvis, Guy, Richard, Bryant and Theron Kidd, all of Madison County; Rupert Kidd, Atlanta; Claud Kidd, Bowman; Floyd Kidd, Fort Mills, S. C. ; Boyd and Loyd both of Comer; grandmother, Mrs. J. D. Carithers, Comer. Mr. Kidd was a native of Madison County and had lived in this section all his life until he entered military service.
