A native of Madison Co., Mrs. Kidd was the daughter of the late William T. and Nona Carithers Smith. Mrs. Kidd was the widow of the late Boyd Allen Kidd, and was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Kidd was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Gene Kidd, and a daughter, Hazel Virginia Bell. Funeral: Monday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel, Danielsville, Madison Co., GA. Burial: in the Fork Cemetery. Grandsons and grandsons-in-law will be pallbearers. Surviving relatives include a daughter and son [living, names omitted], ten grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 21 great-great grandchildren. (Brown Funeral Home, Danielsville, GA). Additional Comments: William T. Smith and Nona Carithers were married on 19 Aug 1903 in Madison Co., GA; Nona was the daughter of Jackson S. Carithers and Martha Jane Fortson who were married on 1 Nov 1882 in Madison Co.; Martha Jane (1866-1941) was the daughter of Richard Easton Fortson, Confederate Soldier, and Lucy Jane Campbell.
