MARY E. KING HELD IN ATHENS SUNDAY Funeral services were held Sunday at an Athens Funeral Home for Mrs. Mary E. King, with Rev. Dan Palmer, Pastor of Watkinsville Christian Church, and Rev. James Hill, Pastor of Comer Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the cemetery at Commerce. Mrs. King is survived by her husband, J. C. King, four daughters, Mrs. J. W. Ward, Greenville, S.C., Mrs. J. B. Wilson, Commerce, Mrs. J. H. Rowe, Athens and Mrs. Martin Rogers, Chattanooga, Tenn.; four sons: D. E. King, Commerce, J. G. King, Jay, Fla., J.O. J. King, Comer and R. L. King, Flemington; brother, D. L. Nichols, Atlanta. Mrs. King was a native of Madison County and had lived here all of her life. She was a member of First Christian Church of Athens. She died at the home of her son, Mr. J. O. J. King in Comer after an illness of 12 days.
