Billy Shannon Lance Rites

   Billy Shannon Lance, 13, of Danielsville Road, Athens, Ga., died Friday, 
November 24, at 7 p.m. at a local hospital after failing health for the past 
several months.
   He was a native of Clarke County, and had lived in Madison County most of 
her life.  He attended the South Madison Middle School and the Watkinsville 
Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
   Funeral services were held at Bridges Funeral home Chapel on Monday 
afternoon at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. John Keesler officiating.  Burial was in the 
Meadow Baptist Church Cemetery with Bridges Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements.
   Survivors include:  mother, Mrs. Frances Edwards Lance, Hull, Ga.; father, 
Mr. Billy Lance, Eastville, Ga.; 3 sisters; Miss Christal Lance, Hull, Miss 
Charlie Lance, Hull and Miss Patty Lance, Eastville; grandmother, Mrs. Gatha 
Edwards, Athens; a number of aunts and uncles.
