Joe Landers Rites

   Joe Boyd Landers, 47, Building 160, Apr. 4, Hanover Place, Athens, Ga., died 
Thursday at his residence following a long illness.
   Born in Madison County, he had lived in Athens for the past 21 years.  A 
member of Trinity Baptist Church, he was a veteral of the korean Conflict and 
an employee of the University of Georgia Maintenance Department.
   The funeral was Saturday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home 
with the Rev. C. L. Harris officiating.  Burial was in Meadow Baptist Church 
Cemetery.
   Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Mae Williams Landers; two 
stepsons, Stephen Michael Porterfield and George Leonard Brock, Athens; and 
<daughter or step-daughter> Mrs. Bob Keims, Tampa, Fla.; five brothers, William 
Dorsey Landers, Harry Lee Landers, Henry Hal Landers, Fred landers, Jr., 
Athens, and David Ray Landers, Augusta; and several nieces and nephews.
