Danielsville Monitor    3 Jan 1895
Mrs. Emily Lane died at the home of her daughter Mrs. R. J. Sorrells, this 
morning at Nine o'clock, with pneumonia.  Mrs. Lane had been a number of the 
Presbyterian church for years, and died at the ripe old age of 78.  She leaves 
three children to mourn her loss--two sons and one daughter.  She was a good 
mother and has gone to reap her reward.  The bereaved have our deepest 
sympathy in this, their hour of trial.  The funeral will take place here 
tomorrow (Saturday) at 2 o'clock P M.

Additional Comments:
Mrs. Lane's tombstone lists her DOD as 5 Jan 1895, though the newspaper date 
was in error as 3 Jan 1895.
